"Number Please"

The woman in this painting is a friend, Claryce, who is captured here in her
first job after high school. This image was taken on the last day before the
system was modernized and replaced in 1956. At that time, she was dating
the son of the woman who managed her line. The woman took this shot and
sent it to her son who was overseas in the service. Years later at a class reunion
he returned the small black and white Brownie image to Claryce. 
This painting shows a small portion of that photo.  To me, it just shouts “1956”.
